A Little Levity

SUE: "See that woman over there? She's been married four times -- once to a millionaire, then to an actor, then to a minister, and last to an undertaker."

SALLY: "I know! One for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, and four to go!"

Source: My dad. (Who else?)

Regarding the source: Perhaps his Dad? Granddad had some good ones!

Quite true, Dean, quite true! And welcome back to the comment section, Dean. I've missed you!

Yes, Dean! My Dad, Kent's grandfather, Loring, loved a great, good, clean joke. His round belly just shook heartily over such humor. He often liked to repeat a new joke to Pastor Phil Harris, as you know, just as soon as he got the chance. I remember a copule of times when he and Pastor Phil were going round and round each other with the jokes and new funny stories they had to tell. My dad's nickname was "Happy." Many people called him "Hap," for short. My Dad liked to praise the Lord on Strings, i.e., banjo, guitar and piano. Dad's love for music with his congenial nature was the upshot of his love for all people. He played in nursing homes and different churches. Once, he played "TURKEY-IN-THE-STRAW" for a Sunday evening Church service! Everybody loved Dad and his great sense of humor.
